Prior to becoming the firm's Head of Commercial Property, Forbes was a main board Director of a development company and legal counsel for a number of years. In this role he was involved in the development of a number of Halford’s Superstores, Great Mills and B&Q.

Gordon Bell - Partner

Head of Civil Litigation and Employment Law Teams

Gordon is a highly regarded,experienced and dedicated Lawyer. He specialises in personal injury claims of all types, including claims arising out of accidents (at work, in public places and in vehicles) and from the contraction of asbestos-related diseases, industrial deafness, Vibration White Finger and other occupational diseases.

He has also acted for clients in a wide range of commercial and consumer litigations, such as commercial lease disputes, liquidations and obtaining interdicts. He also oversees the firm's successful debt recovery department.

Gordon has considerable experience and expertise in Employment Law and regularly conducts employment tribunals for clients. He also advises trade unions officials and members on employment and trade union law.

Gordon is a Law Society of Scotland Accredited Specialist in personal injury law and is a Senior Litigator member of the UK Association of Personal Injury Lawyers.

Joyce Marshall - Partner

Head of House Purchase/Sales, Estate Agency and Private Client Teams

Joyce joined the firm in 1988 and is head of the Private Client Unit. She is involved in the residential housing market within the Firm including purchases, sales, remortgages and residential leases.

Joyce also deals with a broad range of private client work including wills and executries, inheritance tax and tax planning, as well as issues relating to incapacity and the elderly.

Nicole Gizzi - Partner

Commercial Property Team

Since joining the firm in 1997, Nicole has gained considerable experience in a wide range of property-related transactions.  These include site acquisition for land development, purchases and sales of commercial premises across the market and commercial leasing, with particular emphasis on lettings within retail factory outlets, both in Scotland and in an advisory capacity south of the border.

Nicole is known for her dedication and reliability.  Her client base varies from the small property development company to the larger national company with a Scottish property portfolio.  Liaising with the clients’ property agents, Nicole becomes involved with acquisitions, disposals and all property-related disputes on behalf of both landlord and tenant.

Having acted for an insolvency practitioner in relation to general property matters for several years, Nicole also deals with security work and disposals on the Trustee’s behalf.

Nicole has been a member of Women In Property for many years and enjoys attending regular events to keep up to date with the property market in Scotland.

Mandy is a highly regarded corporate finance and banking lawyer. She leads the Corporate team, and handles a wide range of banking, corporate, structured and project finance work. She has amassed excellent quality experience in a wide range of corporate finance and commercial transactions with a particular emphasis on high profile acquisitions, disposals and private equity investments throughout the UK. Mandy enjoyed a successful secondment to the European legal team of an International banking institution. This experience enables her to provide innovative debt solutions from both a borrowers asnd lenders perspective.
