Chief executive of Cancer Support Scotland, Colin Graham said:

“Raising this amount of money for us was a tremendous effort and we’re very grateful to the staff at Dallas McMillan for their support.

“The firm has been a great supporter of the charity for a number of years and it would be wonderful if other businesses would follow their lead and nominate Cancer Support Scotland as their charity of the year.

“All the counselling services and complementary therapies we provide for people with cancer and their families are free and donations from the public and businesses like Dallas McMillan are our lifeblood.

“It’s because of them that we are able to help the growing number of people seeking our assistance.”

Dallas MacMillan staff participated in zip slides, race nights and everything in between to help raise cash for this excellent organisation.

One of our senior partners, Forbes Leslie, said:

“We are delighted that our first year of having Cancer Support Scotland as our official charity partner has seen us raise over £15,000 for them.

“Knowing that the money we have raised is being used to help them carry on their excellent work is a real source of pride for Dallas McMillan.”

 About Cancer Support Scotland

Our official good cause, based in the west-end of Glasgow, helps hundreds of people each year cope with the devastating effects of cancer. Cancer Support Scotland offers one-to-one counselling, alongside complementary therapies. These include aromatherapy, massage, reflexology, guided visualisation, techniques which are aimed at easing pain and discomfort, as well as helping manage stress and anxiety. Nail care services and chiropody services are also available for those undergoing treatment for cancer.

Although Cancer Support Scotland is based in Gartnavel Hospital it is not part of the NHS. However, it does offer its services throughout Glasgow, Renfrewshire, Argyll and Bute, Edinburgh and West Lothian.
