Dallas McMillan to join Lindsays in merger

Dallas McMillan is to become part of Lindsays, one of Scotland’s leading independent law firms, through a merger that will take effect on 1 September.

This marks a significant step for our firm, creating new opportunities for our clients and our people as we join a larger, Scotland-wide practice.

Through the merger, our partners and staff will transfer to Lindsays, with clients gaining access to a broader range of legal services across the combined firm.

What this means for our clients

By becoming part of Lindsays, our clients will continue to work with the people they know and trust, while benefiting from the additional strength and depth of a larger firm.

This includes access to expanded expertise across areas such as personal injury, employment law, commercial property, corporate matters and residential conveyancing, alongside a wider range of specialist services.

We have long admired Lindsays’ approach and the way the firm has grown in recent years, while remaining true to its people-centred principles.

Joining Lindsays represents a natural next step for our business, enabling us to build on our strengths while offering enhanced support and opportunities for both our clients and colleagues.

Becoming part of Lindsays’ Glasgow team

Our team will become part of Lindsays’ Glasgow office at Queen Street, contributing to a significantly expanded presence in the city.

The combined Glasgow team will bring together over 120 colleagues, strengthening the firm’s ability to support individuals, families and businesses across the region.

Why Lindsays is the right fit

David McElroy, Managing Partner of Dallas McMillan said:

“We have long been admirers of Lindsays’ way of doing business and the way in which it has grown in recent years, while remaining true to its people-centred principals.

This feels like the right move for us and our clients, who will benefit from access to a wider range of legal services, while our colleagues gain broader opportunities within a larger firm that retains a close-knit and supportive culture.”

Andrew Diamond, Managing Partner at Lindsays, added:

“We are looking forward to welcoming the team from Dallas McMillan to the Lindsays family and to continue our path of strategic, sustainable growth through this merger.

We are committed to expanding our presence in Glasgow and have been seeking the right fit for some time. This brings together good people and good clients, with strong synergies between our firms.

It is an exciting step forward, further strengthening our position as a Scotland-wide firm, operating from four cities.”

Our next chapter at Lindsays

All Dallas McMillan partners and staff will transfer to Lindsays and the enlarged firm will operate under the Lindsays name.

We look forward to this next chapter and to continuing to support our clients as part of Lindsays.
