GROWING GLASGOW LAW FIRM TEAMS UP WITH FOUR CHARITIES TO MARK 150TH ANNIVERSARY

Leading independent law firm Dallas McMillan is to mark its 150^th anniversary with a £150,000 charity fundraising campaign. The firm will celebrate its 150^th anniversary in 2025 and is marking the milestone by attempting to raise £150,000 for its four chosen charities: Children’s Hospices Across Scotland (CHAS), The Prince & Princess of Wales Hospice, Good Morning Service and The Simon Community.

The announcement comes as the firm is about to set a new record turnover and pre-tax profit for the financial year 2023/24. In each of the last three financial years, Dallas McMillan has experienced a 20% annual growth in turnover.

Managing Partner David McElroy said; “We are proud to be reaching our 150^th anniversary as an independent practice providing a high-quality and personalised legal service to private clients and businesses alike. To reach such a milestone whilst also experiencing record turnover requires us to mark the occasion in a meaningful and ambitious way. We have chosen to raise funds for four charities to ensure that all of the funds we raise are divided between charities who provide vital assistance to all areas of society. We of course acknowledge that our target is a very ambitious one, however we hope that the events that we will hold over the next eighteen months will see us get very close to hitting our target, if not exceeding it. As well as our annual Race Night, we will also be holding a special 150^th Birthday Ball in August 2025 to both celebrate our birthday and raise funds for our charity partners.

He continued; “There is no doubt that Scotland’s legal landscape has been through significant changes and is continuing to evolve. Our focus is to continue leveraging our independent status to provide a high quality service to our clients whilst achieving continued growth.”

In the same year, Dallas McMillan’s Property team, headed by Richard Andrew, won a Gold Award in The British Property Awards.
